This interview show is another product of Conexion Media Group (CMG): CMG is the publisher of the Conexion English/Spanish monthly publication in North/NW Florida and Southern Alabama, the founder of the Hispanics and Friends LINKed Business Networking Group and organizer of community events such as the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Fort Walton Beach.

It is called MAKING CONNECTIONS because we want it to provide our guests and advertisers another medium to “make a connection” to our audience, to include not just the growing Hispanic community in our region, but also nationally and internationally. The selection of our interviewees will be based on those that are able to provide great information, guidance and/or are educational messages and may include business leaders, civic and/or political leaders, entrepreneurs, authors, and other interesting members of our community.

Darryl Strawberry – Night of Integrity – April 25, 2018

Darryl Strawberry is the featured keynote speaker for the 2018 Night of Integrity at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on the campus of Northwest Florida State College. This event was open to all students athletes from Okaloosa and Walton counties and was sponsored and promoted by All Sports Association, the Emerald Coast FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), the Okaloosa County Sheriff Office, and Northwest Florida State College.

Darryl Strawberry is described as a legend by many who have been dazzled by the dynamics of his game, the power he possessed at the plate and the story of redemption that continues to bring hope to so many lives. He has earned the legendary nicknames and phrases of one of the most feared homerun hitters in the game of baseball, Straw’s Sweet Swing, Strawberry’s Field Forever and The Legendary Straw Man!

Historic Gulfview Hotel Overnight Move & Downtown Shutdown – April 17, 2018

Join us on April 17, 2018 for the LIVE Stream of the epic moving of the historical Gulfview Hotel from its original location to it new home at the corner of Hwy 98 and Brooks Street in downtown Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  The LIVE Stream will begin around 8:30pm CDT.

Highway 98 was shut down around 9pm and power lines, street signage and other street related structures will be taken down and restore during this event.

After losing power and internet access to the streaming cart, we moved down the street until we found a working power location. This left us with only one working camera to stream live while the other camera crews followed the action to capture archive footage of the epic event.

This segment of the move took place between 11:30pm to 2am before we shut down the stream.

The movers, power crews, police and city crews worked tirelessly until dawn to get the hotel off the highway onto its new lot location.

At its new location, the hotel will become the official welcome center for the city. and will be managed by the FWB Chamber of Commerce.
